Abstract
DSFs are gradually developing into a new direction of environmental protection and energy saving of the curtain wall due to their advantages of being environmental-friendly. However, DSFs also have some shortcomings financially, design-wise, and concerning the lack of industry standards. Therefore, it is necessary to estimate the overall energy-saving effect in advance, continue in-depth optimization research on the engineering application value of DSFs, and ultimately evaluate whether DSFs bring good social and economic benefits.
This paper provides a general understanding of solar energy renewable energy and how photovoltaic technology can be practically applied. Also, several studies present analysis of the site, weather data, and the design implemented to predict the value of the photovoltaic system as an economic investment. Finally, this paper finishes with some conclusions to present the differences in building energy performance after the installation of DSFs and photovoltaic units.

Abstract [
